Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between 313A, 313D and G2?
313A is Ontario's full refrigeration & AC mechanic licence (residential + commercial); 313D covers residential only; G2/G3 are gas technician licences for gas appliance work. The most employable combination is 313A + G2 — exactly how this program is designed.
Can I start with no HVAC background?
Yes. The program starts at the G3 entry level and builds up to G2 and the 313A syllabus, grounded in real North American commercial-project examples and reinforced with TopMock drills.
What is the ODP card — do I need it?
The Ozone Depletion Prevention card is the legal requirement for handling refrigerants, essential for any refrigeration work. ODP exam coaching is included.
How do out-of-province students attend?
Live streams, replays and the online question bank serve students in Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and beyond — and the Red Seal is recognized nationwide.
